Odd ad to Sellers in a local paper:

A real estate professional says he has a client in the ~$200-400K price range looking for a home.  The real estate professional is asking for anyone "thinking" about selling to contact him.  The odd part: The real estate professional is also asking anyone that has their home listed in this price range to ask their current agent to contact him...what's so odd? Doesn't this real estate professional have access to the MLS?  Can't this professional look up those potential homes on his own? Does he need help?  Watch out for this type of advertising.  It's appears that this real estate professional is trying to discredit the agent that you chose to sell your home. When an agent has a buyer it's our first priority to search for a suitable home.  Our first stop is always the MLS... we never ask currently listed sellers to contact their agent.
